This post was going to be about my acting mind-map, but I’ve decided to steer in in a different direction instead. This is not just because my acting mind-map isn’t finished, it’s rather because the events of today have proven to me without a shadow of a doubt that our thoughts create our realities. I have no other way to explain it.

So last night I ended up having to do my P90X work-out late… as in I started it at 9:30pm and finished at 10:30pm. I was completely fine with this, and was simply grateful that I still had an opportunity to get my work-out in before going to bed. However, after I was finishing KenpoX the last thing I wanted to do was go to sleep. I was filled with energy, so after my shower I returned to my computer to check some more things off of my to-do list for the day. The first thing that I did was lay out a blanket on the floor, and listen to an Abraham-Hicks meditation on relationships. I really allowed myself to be present through the entire duration of this 15 minute meditation, and afterwards I felt even more amazing then I did before. Since my boyfriend was asleep in the next room, I listened to this meditation through my headphones. After the meditation finished my music started to play. I left it on, and decided that now would be the perfect opportunity to apply for some jobs.

To up-date you all, I had been becoming very frustrated in the job-hunt department. Over the last 2 weeks I have probably applied for at least 15 different jobs, and heard back from not one single employer. Last night I rolled up my sleeves, updated my cover letter and applied for 5 serving positions for restaurants around the city. Throughout this application process I danced in my chair, moving my body to the uplifting tunes playing in my ear. I smiled the entire time, and just plain felt giddy about life. That night I also sent the three headshots I had chosen to my headshot photographer (Shimon) for editing. I was getting stuff done.
I went to bed in a glorious mood, unaware of what the next day had in store for me.

Of the five restaurants I applied to last night, I have heard back from three today. I have three job interviews scheduled for serving positions this week. Three!!! After not getting anything for two weeks.

Add on to that, my manager showed up out of the blue at my current work-place today, and I had an impromptu interview with her for a sales position at the club.

Add on that, Shimon got back to me today with my edited head-shot photos, so I can start sending packages out to agencies this week.

In one day, I got everything that I wanted. Now the ball is in my court. I don’t just have one choice, I have several. Now all I have to do is choose what’s best for me. You create your reality. I honestly cannot say this enough.

congratulations on your progress!:) I’ve been curious to read 7 habits since I came across your blog. During my flight yesterday I noticed that the guy next to me was reading it. I decided to take it as a sign, and downloaded it to my kindle. Look forward to reading it – and putting it to practice:)

Namaste

Congrats on getting into the vortex and allowing the job opportunities to show up =)
